This fire station was having significant issues with pigeons roosting and nesting on the canopy steels in front of the main emergency exit – fouling down onto the fire engines and creating a slippage and health hazard below.
Following a visit from our surveyor, painted batons were installed to allow us to support the seven strand 2mm steel wire structure which would hold and shape the netting beneath the batons.
One of our IPAF qualified netting teams did the rest, cleaning down the fouling and nesting materials and biociding to neutralise the pathogens associated with pigeon fouling, and netting off the steels with a bespoke 50mm pigeon netting installation.
Lovely neat job by John and Barney Scanlon.
